Hetty’s inspiration for art began as a child with a treasured box of Crayola crayons. Her training has been life long, fostered by a strong work ethic and focused on achievement. She began participating in retail art shows in 1983.
Through the adoption of Hetty’s medium and with ample discretionary time after a career in human services, Norman discovered the artisit within himself. He joined his wife in the business of creating art in 2004.
The abstract geometric work we create combines four primary techniques; the construction of three-dimensional paper boxes, the weaving of hand-cut paper fringe, and the flat and edge layering of paper. Our use of repetition of the combined elements provides a strong visual aesthetic.
