Artist bio: Loretta Petraitis was born and raised in Lithuania ,city Kaunas. Her passion to the art developed early .While studying at the Vilnius Academy of Arts ,she worked as pattern printing designer at the textile factory Silva . She received MFA from Vilnius Academy of Arts in 1994. Right after graduation ,she was invited to take a senior designer position at textile factory Kauno Audiniai. 1996 Loretta immigrated to the USA and became a full time painter .2003 Loretta won SoHo International Competition ,organized by Brooklyn Museum ,and was represented by Agora Gallery NY,NY. 2018 Loretta was awarded with Malcom Bird Memorial award at Saint James Court Art Festival. Her painting dwells in Urban Industrial landscapes of the United States ,often reminding about the precious signs of time ,transformation and antiquity of all that left behind .Loretta uses language of texture and colors ,revealing the idea.
