Aletha Jones

Aletha's figurative watercolor paintings have won major awards at prestigious exhibitions nationwide including Watercolor USA, the American Watercolor Society, the Rocky Mountain National, and the National Watercolor Society. She taught art classes at the Toledo Museum of Art and Bowling Green State University before moving to her current home in Madison, Wisconsin. Her figures have always been the invented spell-weavers of her imagination, the jesters of her private theater. From the time she was a child, her art has served as her visual diary, with her images influenced by her travels, whimsies and dreams.
