Richard Wilson, an award-winning artist from North Carolina, honed his talent from a young age, eventually earning degrees in Advertising & Graphic Design. He now resides in Wendell, operating from his studio in Raleigh. With a 30-year career, he's excelled as an artist, graphic designer, and educator. His narrative paintings often feature family moments, evoking nostalgia and universal themes. Notably, he's the first African American artist to have a portrait displayed in a North Carolina courthouse. Wilson's work is celebrated in publications like Fine Art Connoisseur and The Wall Street Journal. He's also been recognized by the Blue Moon Brewing Company and featured in TV shows and movies. His commissions include notable figures like Mary Frances Early and portrayals of historic events. His pieces are held in collections worldwide, including those of Hank Aaron and Tina Knowles.
