"Growing up in a small town in Michigan, Linda & her brothers discovered some clay in the banks of a creek. Long hours were spent making and remaking objects and people from the clay they dug from the creek bed.
Linda majored in Elementary Education as well as art and psychology and later received an MSE from Drake University and post graduate work at the University of Iowa all while working a total 34 years as an educator and administrator in the Des Moines Schools. It was a great place to gather material for her future narrative sculptures that she began creating after she took a workshop given by a ceramic narrative sculptor in Santa Fe.
Over the last 10 years Linda has exhibited her sculptures at over 70 nationally recognized juried art festivals, galleries, exhibitions including Dubuque Museum of Art, Iowa State University, Central College, Baker University, Graceland University, SOFA Chicago and Art Palm Beach. She has received several awards including Best of Show, First Place in Sculpture, Best of 3D as well as recognition in national print media.

Linda maintains a studio practice at Mainframe Studios in Des Moines, Iowa."
