Don Widmer is a hand papermaker who creates detailed pulp paintings with numerous layers of stenciled pulp. He has exhibited throughout the Midwest, most recently at 33 Contemporary Gallery, Bridgeport Art Center, A+C Architects Studio, the Paper Discovery Center, Tall Grass Art Gallery, and Morgan Conservatory. His pulp paintings are included in the recent publication Radical Paper: Art and Invention with Colored Pulp, the first ever book on the subject. His work is represented in university, museum and library collections. Widmer received his MFA in Interdisciplinary Book and Paper Arts from Columbia College Chicago.
