I discovered clay at 16 and realized quickly that being an artist in clay was how I wanted to spend my life. The son of a military man I’ve travelled my whole life including 8 years in Europe in my youth. I love the history of ceramics as well as the work of folkloric traditions I feel both inform my work. I did Antioch College as an undergraduate and the University of Washington for my MFA.
