My quilted and embroidered work explores how people impact their environment and, in turn, how the environment affects people. The pieces are informed by aerial photography, geology diagrams, maps, and satellite imagery, but are not always based on specific places
Using a majority of repurposed fabrics and my own two hands I combine reverse appliqué, piecing, and embroidery. The machines I use are analog - there is no use of paint or computer programming.
