Artist Bio

Ecuadorian artist based in Louisiana. Her artistic career started at 8 when she was admitted to the National Conservatory of Music where she graduated as a piano teacher. Got her bachelor’s degree in graphic design and fine arts at ESPOL and studied Pre-Columbian ceramics at the Anthropological museum MAAC. She won a scholarship to study traditional art & Batik at Universitas Negeri Semarang in Indonesia. She was back in Ecuador in 2017 where she committed to learning and traveling in the Amazon Rainforest.
In her work she transmits her personal vision, where ancestral myths, allegories and complex symbolisms from the Andes and the Amazon are narrated. Since the Fall of 2022 Nathalia has participated and received awards in prestigious juried art festivals in the USA. She’s exhibited at the Ogden Museum and CAC in New Orleans.
