Artist Bio

A Missouri native, Rogers works alone creating contemporary Ceramic Sculptures in his Lee’s Summit studio. Andy’s porcelain objects are made beginning on the potter’s wheel. They are then carved and altered. By layering terra sigillata, stains, glazes and air brushed acrylics. The sculptures are inspired from the small and overlooked things in our natural environment. Not wanting to copy forms that he sees in nature, his objects are a reflection of what naturally occurs.

In his journey of creating art over the past 25 years Andy Rogers award winning sculptures have been sold in many art fairs and galleries around the country. Many of his works can be seen in private and corporate collections. Andy also teaches private lessons and travels to do workshops and demonstrations.
