Ashley Guzmán is a Mexican-American artist currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Product Design at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. With a large background in painting, Guzmán’s work is deeply influenced by her cultural heritage and experiences growing up in the Midwest. She was raised in both Des Moines and Ankeny, Iowa. Over the years, she has actively engaged with the Iowa fine arts community. Her work has been included in numerous exhibitions and events, such as the Iowa State Fair, Iowa’s Latino Heritage Festival, and First Friday at Mainframe Studios.
