I started my glass experience with the fabrication of architectural stained glass. To improve my design skills I took private drawing lessons in colored pencil for one year. This led me to seek a more detailed result in my glasswork. I found this in the realm of kiln-formed glass using colored frit. I trained in Italy with an expert in fused glass landscape art. I added to this training over the years with techniques of my own.
