Artist Bio

Jen Lawler has been a Silver and Goldsmith jewelry designer and maker for over 30 years in the Des Moines area. Her passion for jewelry making started at Roosevelt highschool with her first metal smithing class. It continued on post highschool with a metal smithing class at Drake, then onto Iowa and Iowa State, acquiring a bachelors degree in 3-Dimensional design. Once graduated, Jen worked 12 years at a jewelry design space, learning and growing at her skill before becoming her own business owner.
Jen hand fabricates or carves and casts using a lost wax casting with each one of her jewelry designs. She strives to create modern, unique designs that are easily and wanting to wear every day. Jen is inspired by the gemstones she uses, the linear shapes found in architecture and nature as well as the textures found within almost anything she sees along the way. It all has possibilities. Jen uses Sterling Silver, Gold, Natural Gemstones and Pearls to create each design, paying close attention to every step, to create beautiful pieces of wearable art.
