Jimmy Navarro is known for both his rural and urban landscapes in oil and open acrylics. He paints plein air from direct observation in the field and uses those color studies and value notes to create large studio work which he refers to as “contemporary impressionism”. Navarro also paints multi-story murals in the Midwest and across the nation. He is a graduate of Minneapolis College of Art and Design with an emphasis in painting, illustration and furniture.
