Two of my strongest childhood interests, whittling and printing, never left me, and have developed into a rewarding career in art. Many years ago I taught myself block printing. The small, hand-painted linoleum block prints I make now both satisfy my creativity, and hold the potential to initiate a dialog with the viewer that could open a door to better understanding between us. Pursuit of this second goal has often led to great conversations and new inspiration. Wonderful rewards for just cutting up a piece of linoleum.
