Artist Bio
Artist statements sometimes rely on creative writing afterward to give artwork faux social/political/aesthetic/$ value. And there's also a lot of time to think about yourself during the hours spent watching artwork develop. I have considered my work in the context of historical modernism - specifically linear abstract art. I've convinced myself that I have created penultimate irony by “baroquing up” minimalism. The artwork's roving energy also resembles my mind struggling to complete a single five-word thought, but the eventual hard-achieved balance and harmony of innumerable little details is triumph over that mental chaos. But are these after-the-fact comparisons to give the work more gravita$?
Actually, I am just making what I think looks good and meaningfully different right now. If you're inclined, seize on a focal point and meditate. Or take in all the energy and components at once to inspire your next grand plan.
