Artist Bio
I have been working with wood since I was a teenager. Woodworking was my father's hobby and I was introduced to it by him. Dad had a lathe for making furniture parts and I started fooling around on it. I took a class on bowl turning in 1996 and was hooked. I've been making decorative and functional objects on the lathe ever since.
I live and work in Saluda, NC in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Most of the material I use comes from this area. My work can be seen in many public collections including the Museum of Art & Design in New York and the Yale Art Gallery.
