Artist Bio

My current series, now six years in, captures figures caught between complexity and stillness in motion. This series uses children (my own as models) to tell the stories of women. There are five paintings per woman. Each piece depicts a moment in her life common to us all, i.e. the human condition. The pieces are personal in the beginning. However, the initial inspiration often becomes obscure in the end. I can say unequivocally that what one gains from my work reflects one's experiences, I just open the door to that experience. I aim to draw the figures thoughtfully and artfully in an uncommon way. I paint uncommonly for the uncommon collector.
