Detroit based ceramicist, Kelly Kaatz has been honing her skills in functional ceramics since 2012. Originally a sculptor and metalsmith with a BFA from Wayne State University, Kelly applies the skillset she acquired to her ceramic practice to create sculptural, hand-built works from clay. Her pots embody abstract scenes from nature and are filled with texture, uneven lines and whimsical flow.
