I started blowing glass in 2006 at a small community college in Minnesota where I ended up graduating with an Associate of Arts degree and an Associate of Fine Arts degree and then transferred to a University in St. Paul, MN where I finished with a Bachelors of Science in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Physics. I worked as the Glass Tutor and as a Glassblowing Teachers Assistant for my Instructor while studying glass art at the community college and then worked as an apprentice to a local glass artist while pursing my math degree and even for a while after graduating. I then took a few more glass classes and workshops at various glass schools and studios across the country before deciding to branch out on my own. My plan now is to blow glass full time and use my math, physics, and fine arts training to make unique handmade glass objects using patterns and techniques that I engineer along the way. A tremendous amount of care and planning go into every single piece that I create. I love what I do and love that I get to share it with the world.
