Story and a Song

Courtney Krause's thought-provoking writing encompasses the longing heart of a singer/songwriter, speaking to the varieties of circumstance faced in relationships, communication, and honesty. Modernizing classic country, folk, sultry soul, rock and rhythm, the songs create a dialogue where both sides of the story are told.

The latest recorded (digitally available Spring 2018), "Tie Your Tongue/Bite Your lip," is a 10 track album focused around the importance of difficult conversations after allowing thoughts to manifest themselves in the most authentic of moments of communication and vulnerable expression. The album roams down hallways, waits in doorways, and carefully creeps through rooms of conversation in a metaphorical house of our memories and words we wish we would have said.
