Dylan Schilling is a Physical Education teacher by day, and spoken word poet by open mic and slam. Born and raised in Jefferson, Iowa but currently living in Ames, Iowa. He has been writing and competing seriously for the last three years. He has competed in the state poetry slam three years in a row and is published in Lyrical Iowa. His poetry focuses on mental health, loss, love, hope, and finding reasons to stay.
