Des Moines Arts Festival Load-out procedures

POST-EVENT ACCESS IS BY BARRICADE PASS ONLY.

You receive a BARRICADE PASS from a staff or volunteer member AFTER you tear down and are ready to load your vehicle.

If you require to have your vehicle on site to tear down and pack, you will wait until after others around you have completed load out and we have determined there is enough room for your vehicle/trailer.

Please Note: Locust is a One-Way St and we are sending you the Opposite direction.

Turn SOUTH at 16th Street to avoid oncoming traffic.

Locust Street Artists 

Enter the site off WALNUT ST at 13th. Proceed NORTH on 13th to LOCUST ST. Turn LEFT as instructed onto LOCUST ST. Exit by continuing WEST on LOCUST ST to 16TH St. Please note, you will driving the wrong way on Locust St.

Grand Ave. Artists (including Emerging lowa Artists)

Enter the site off 10th ST onto GRAND AVE. Proceed WEST on GRAND AVE. Exit NORTH on 15th ST. or West on Grand Ave. Do NOT turn South onto 15th St.

​

West Food Court

Enter off HIGH ST. at 15th and proceed SOUTH on 15th St. To exit proceed SOUTH on 15th St off site.

​

East Food Court

Enter off 10th Street heading WEST on Locust St. Exit by proceeding SOUTH on 12th St.

​

Creative Zone

Enter off HIGH ST heading SOUTH. Turn right onto Grand Ave. Exit by proceeding WEST on Grand Ave.

Sponsor Relations Team will work with you on an individual basis. However, you must have a barricade pass to enter the site.
